The Scavenger Hunt

Assignment:

The kids will break up into groups. Each group is to come up with a story they would like to videotape. This story could be a fictitious story, an interview, a documentary or an actual live event.

The students then brainstorm about the video. Where will it be shot? Who is in the cast? What audio do we use? They write down and scratch out the answers to these and other questions.

When they are ready, they go to the computer and fill out the storyboard tool. When complete, they hand in their rough drafts of the storyboard along with a printed copy of the storyboard.

Procedure:

  • Break into groups

  • Decide on the video

  • Discuss and brainstorm the elements of the video

  • Use the Storyboard tool to create the storyboard

  • Hand in the rough drafts and the printed document of the storyboard
